Reviews
I hesitate to write this knowing the soup site will become even MORE popular than it already it BUT it is the Idaho thing to do - good will. This place is THE Pho stop for those with an addition to the lovey dish. The customer service here is tops, moving you from seat to eat in record times. One of the defining points of this shop is the visible contingency of the customer make up from the Vietnamese community. The atmosphere is great, whether you enjoy sports on wide screens (no volume which is nice) and the sounds from the upbeat Vietnamese music sets the stage for good conversation and good friends. Certainly there are other items on the menu, but for Pho lovers you rarely make it down the page. Coming in small and large the soup is served HOT, with full accompanying condiments and great service. I am a fairly predictable regular and can say without exception that I have never been disappointed. The small fills me nicely but for those from the school of "more is better" the large is a tummy packer. Beef 3 way is my fav, flavorful and tender pieces of different cuts makes my day. On special occasions I love to order up the shrimp rolls as appetizers - YUM, and then dive into the Pho .. then immediately call for a hand truck to roll me out to my vehicle. This is a great spot to measure all others by .. if you could keep this one to yourself :}
Stopped here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. This was our first time here as we are new to the area but we love pho and saw the sign as we were driving by. To start, this place was clean and well lit. The server was very friendly and polite. The portions were bigger than I expected. The broth had good flavor. The toppings were fresh. None of the meat was chewy and we had both beef and chicken at our table. What else can you say about pho?! We will definitely be back.
What a hidden little Pho place. Nuzzled off of Fairview in a massive strip mall there is this delectable little place. The simple decor and layout welcome you when you walk in the door, along with a friendly hello from the servers. We sit where we want, tucked in the same corner looking out onto the whole restaurant. Prompt and friendly service soon follows after we sit. I struggle between the Pho Xao Stir Fried Pho with tofu (phenomenal!) -Wok fried pho noodles with lemongrass garlic chili and vegetables and the Pho ga Chicken Pho. I struggle to decide between these two dishes and it always depends on the weather and what my stomach tells me it wants. These are the only two dishes I have ordered (along with the spring rolls, chicken is on the dry side but still good). Someday I will branch out but that Pho Xao Stir Fried Pho might be a favorite dish. Like FAVORITE! Stop dragging your feet. Go find this place AND in the warmer months there is a side patio. You know me and my patios.
One can only go without Pho for so long, and the craving starts! Since my trip from Vancouver, BC to Boise, ID I had gone without anything close to a bowl of Pho, so I decided to check out the Latest Pho scene in Boise. To my pleasant surprise it has improved so much since my last visit 4 years ago! We had the House Special Pho (Large) and they do mean Large! And the Bun Bo Hue, both were above average even compare to Vancouver, Seattle! The expansion of ethnic cuisines is fast reaching the State of Idaho, which is a good progress for foodies like us!! Verdict: Yes, come and taste the Beef Broth!! Recommend!!
Pho was really good. Broth was piping hot, meat was tender, service was great. They were polite and our server was pleasant to talk to. We will be coming back pho sure.
